About UsWe are six students and two faculty members of Fairfield Prep who will be making a pilgrimage to St. Joseph's Preparatory School, a fellow Jesuit high school in Philadelphia, from September 24th to September 28th, 2015. We all had to discern what it means to be a pilgrim on a journey and what it means to attend a Jesuit high school. We hope to share our insights with you over the next couple weeks.

About Our School |
Fairfield Prep opened its doors to students in 1942, and it immediately became the premier Catholic college-preparatory school in Fairfield County. Fairfield Prep is a Jesuit high school, following the 450-year-old tradition of St. Ignatius and his followers. Fairfield Prep is part of the community of sixty-two Jesuit secondary schools in the United States. Fairfield Prep admits boys, and turns them into men and spiritual warriors.
Fairfield Prep is known for its sports teams; the hockey, lacrosse, and basketball teams are always sure to make it to the championships. However, Prep has an outstanding drama and music program, and academics that challenge the brightest students (one of our pilgrims is learning Japanese). What sets Fairfield Prep apart is the idea of 'cura personalis', or care for the entire person. Students are instructed in all disciplines, and learn more about themselves, their classmates, and God every day. Fairfield Prep students also have unrivaled access to the facilities at Fairfield University. Fairfield Prep is an exceptional school, and stays true to its Jesuit ideals. |
